April to October is the best time for waves in the Mentawais. However shoulder season months such as November, December and March also offer excellent surf, though with less chance of consistency, it’s typical that Tropicsurfers enjoy secluded lineups and playful shoulders during this time. And whilst renowned for its pumping surf, the Mentawais also features idyllic beaches and crystal clear water if the swell does drop out.
