Naladhu guests can enjoy the indulgences on their own private island as well as the benefits of both Anantara Dhigu and Veli islands. If it’s action you seek, a dedicated water-sports centre offers a range of distractions. The PADI dive school can reveal coral reefs teeming with an abundance of tropical sea life. Snorkeling trips occur daily. Or you can take one of the resort kayaks, sailing boats or windsurfers for a scenic tour of the beautiful lagoon.

Dining

Naladhu is famous for in-house dining. Dine in privacy on your terrace, under the stars or the sun. Enjoy a barbecue on your deck, complete with your own private chef and waiter. Wake up to a champagne breakfast. Alternatively visit Naladhu's renowned main restaurant. Overlooking the lagoon, The Living Room is a study in chic design without pretension. Tropicsurf is based at Naladhu year round. The resort operates a surfing-pass system that ensures a qualified guide, boat and equipment are dedicated to surfing guests. Enjoy multiple surfs per day, and privileges like board hire, surf updates and coaching. Seaplane surfaris or speedboat excursions to North Male are also available. Families are especially catered to with first-timers started under thorough instruction in the calm lagoon before progressing to their first Maldivian green wave.

Seasons

Tropicsurf operates out of Naladhu year round however the surf season is between April and October. Swell size in the off-season months can vary and shouldn’t be counted on for a serious surfing vacation. During the season itself the swell direction starts to change, swell size and consistency normally increases. Waves are typically chest-high to a little overhead.

Tropicsurf has partnered with Firewire surfboards to offer a complete quiver of cutting edge eco-friendly boards for guest use. Avoid the hassle of travelling with your board by contacting Tropicsurf in advance of your stay to reserve choice of board; shortboard, fish, hybrid, or longboard. Stand Up Paddleboards are also available from the Tropicsurf Centre.

Their level of professionalism is second to none. They have time for everyone, are incredibly approachable and totally focused on making sure that every single person has the time of their life. Tropicsurf was extremely professional

We would like to thank you for the excellent surfing holiday we've recently had at Naladhu resort on the Maldives. My husband and I were happy to use Josh as a guide for almost a week, and we must say that in many years he is one who is extremely helpful and professional. He gave us very precious tips regarding the stance, the proper start and the right waves for us. Thanks to him we now know and understand what we do.

Many thanks to Fiona, who is very welcoming and is responsible for organization and support. Due to her work everything was running smoothly and perfectly on time. Josh and Fiona are very warm and friendly people who are always ready to answer any question and to advise. Even  though our holiday involved a lot of serious physical activity it became enjoyable due to the effort of this wonderful people. We can't stop thanking them for their devotion and professionalism.

Tremendous Tropicsurf Guides

At the risk of embarrassing Josh and Fiona, I would like Tropicsurf to know what a great trip we had with them again in Naladhu.  I’ve been surfing with TS for many years and all your guides, without exception, have been tremendous, but these two are very special indeed. I’m confident to say that ALL the guests that pass through TS Anantara feel similarly, whatever their culture, language, surf ability, or age.
