TROPICSURF

Based year-round at COMO Uma Canggu, Tropicsurf offers easy access to some of Bali’s most sought-after breaks. Our resident Tropicsurf guides cater for guests of all abilities – from lagoon training, where fundamental balance skills are taught, through to expert instruction on tackling some of the toughest breaks in Bali.

SEASONS

Bali has quality surf all year and is predictably determined by two trade wind seasons. Dry season (April to October) features offshore winds on the West Coast. Wet season (December to February) brings offshore winds to the East Coast. Peak surf is June to August but the waves will be at their busiest then. Shoulder months such as March-April or October-November normally deliver less size, less crowds and can be more enjoyable.

Family surfing holiday

We booked the trip through Tropicsurf who run the surf programme at Como Canggu and had the best time. The resort is only recently open but already the team have settled in really well and running the place very efficiently. Tropicsurf runs a fantastic surf programme which had something for everyone.

Incredible Experience

Wanted to drop you some positive feedback on the team @ Como Canggu, Eika & Chucho. 

I'd consider myself an intermediate surfer but hadn't been in the water for a while, so had a couple of 1:1/2:1 sessions with Chucho. 

He was an excellent instructor, very knowledgeable about the local breaks and able to match my ability to the the right spot. His calm and clear style helped grow my confidence, whilst learning some new/better tips for all aspects of surfing. 

A very flexible, welcoming, and enthusiastic team, they brought me from the low of my initial despair at my confidence on the waves, to a high of perfecting postitioning and on wave manoeuvres. Allowing me to leave Bali hungry for the next surf and open to more instruction throughout the next few stages.

The Tropicsurf experience has been amazing

Shane & Tereza are incredible surf guides and super fun. You really got talent here!!!! I have had few surf guides in the past in Bali but nothing compared to how helpful S&T have been the last few days.  In a week achieved much more than ever before! I can understand now why people gets addicted to surf... Flying back to SG today with the motivation high, few waves in my bag and looking forward to the next one!

We had an amazing time in Bali at the Como with Tropicsurf!!

The hotel was wonderful and we had the most incredible experience with Shane and Tereza. They were so knowledgeable about the basics of surfing for Mariah getting out there for the first time. Shane also had great tips for me and gave me all of the insider details for the local waves when he and I went out together. Truly would not have been as memorable of a trip without our time with Shane, Tereza, and Tropicsurf. Thank you for all of your assistance in us booking our trip and making the whole process so seamless and stress-free! I am so glad that I found Tropicsurf through a job posting and us applying for open positions. We hope to continue to have amazing experiences with Tropicsurf whether on another tropic vacation or on the other side as instructors.
